GUARDCORPS sets up in East Anglia.
Under the leadership of Andrew Freeland, Events specialist and former officer of The Coldstream Guards, GUARDCORPS is to open in East Anglia. We perceive that there is a need for a cohesive security operation whose military ethos provides value for money, transparency and above all, no nonsense professionalism.

GUARDCORPS GHURKHA Services.
Due to the success of both security and domestic services provided by former Gurkhas, we are launching a specialist Gurkha wing. The Gurkhas reputation for dedication and professionalism is well known around the world. Gurkha services can include guard forces overseas and in hostile environments, static security guards and drivers or husband and wife domestic service teams.

NORFOLK POLICE to award accreditation.
After a hugely successful meeting with Chief Constable McPherson last year before his handover to Phil Gormley, GUARDCORPS East Anglia is to take part in the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme. Under the scheme, Guardcorps staff will attain deterrent powers against anti-social behavior, harassment, alcohol abuse, graffiti, vandalism and public disorder.

Olympic Bids
After successful bids for several contracts at the games, our MD Oliver Birkbeck attended the Transport for London (TFL) seminar on 15 April. Presenting at the meeting were Wilben Short, head of transport at LOGOC, Hugh Sumner, Director of Transport at the ODA and Richard Browning, Director of Games Transport at TFL – an impressive line up with a very positive message about the games.

Afghanistan
We have teamed up with Oxberry Risk Strategies who carry out Business Continuity and Consultancy work in hostile environments, amongst other things. Management wise, we all come from a similar military pedigree and have widened our scope considerably. Our first joint undertaking is a major convoy support contract in Afghanistan.
